Today's schedule ...
1) We will hear Tsurumi Eats! presentations from students who were absent last week.
2) You will present your movie, book, or manga review to the class
3) Check out Time Out Tokyo (sorry; a little outdated due to Corona)
4) You will read some short restaurant reviews
5) You will choose one and make a short presentation about it next week. (Save the URL.)
6) When you have time, check my comments on last week's Padlet. (for some people)
** Your restaurant review is due in 2 weeks (June 28). Just post it on your practice blog with photos.
Did you correct your movie, book, manga review and post it on your practice blog? Kevin will look at it to make sure you made corrections.
Now we will check out some short restaurant reviews on Time Out Tokyo (Restaurants & Cafes), an entertainment, travel and nightlife website that gives great information to English speakers who are living in or visiting Tokyo. Choose one restaurant from these links.

Time Out Tokyo - Restaurants & Cafes
The restaurants in the reviews above are among the best places in Tokyo, according to Time Out Tokyo. (However, due to the Coronavirus, reviews seem to be a litte outdated.) Next week, you will present some information to the class about one of these places. Kevin can help you choose one if you need help. Save the URL and post it in the comments section below so Kevin can find it quickly when you present.
1) What is the name of the restaurant or cafe?
2) What kind of restaurant or cafe is it? (What does it specialize in?)
3) Where is it located? (general area)
4) Why do you think it might be good? Give some reasons.
5) If something looks good or interesting in the photo, you can mention it.
Special Rule for this presentation! - No paper. Present only what you can remember.
Some useful restaurant review words:
atmosphere - crowded - cuisine - delicious - large variety - specialty - located in - polite - popular - prices - popular items - reservations - serve/serves - specializes in - tasty - waiter/food server
** In the comment box below, please write your name in romaji and tell me which restaurant or cafe you will introduce. Please include the URL in your comment so I can find it easily.
